On Tuesday, June 22nd, Dr. Nicole Salvatore joined us live on Telemedica’s Facebook and YouTube platforms to discuss how to prepare for a Mental Health Evaluation. This discussion included: which documents are needed from the veteran before their telehealth appointment, tips on how to feel most comfortable in a virtual appointment, why certain documents are needed, how the psychologist conducts the appointment, and much more! PSYPACT has enacted legislation in several more states in the past month. Here are the states that have recently joined the list of participating PSYPACT states.


+ Alabama SB 102 – Effective June 1, 2021
+ Kentucky HB 38 – Effective June 29, 2021
+ Minnesota SB 193 – Effective May 26, 2021
+ West Virginia SB 668 – Effective July 6, 2021

Several more states will be joining PSYPACT by the end of 2021 and into early 2022.

If there’s one thing we’ve learned from the past year (and the global pandemic) it’s the importance of taking care of one’s health – both physically and mentally. We’ve also become increasingly aware of certain pitfalls in our current healthcare system and how we can all benefit from its improvement. Telehealth has been paving the way to a better healthcare future and helped to save many lives in the midst of Covid-19.

Quality Providers

All Telemedica providers hold doctoral degrees in psychology from graduate programs accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA) or the Psychological Clinical Science Accredited System (PCSAS). Many of Telemedica’s providers have experience working directly with the Veteran community. Telemedica providers understand what the VA is looking for because they have conducted evaluations themselves and will work alongside you to make these connections.

Ongoing Training

All providers go through Telemedica’s onboarding process and continually attend extensive training. Telemedica’s team of providers includes a Quality Assurance group, as well as a doctorate level provider trainer to ensure everyone is up to speed on completing the most comprehensive evaluations.

Telemedica’s team and network of providers have one collective goal, and that is to help Veterans. Our progressive telehealth options give Veterans access to the Medical/Psych/Telemedicine services they need, when and where they need it!
